    Kindergarten Gold!
Love listening to two other seasoned kindergarten teachers discuss how things are done in their classrooms. Perfect podcast for anyone new to the kindergarten grade level. I was just going back to older episodes to look for one on April teaching and planning ideas after remembering listening to similar podcast episodes for January, February and March but was bummed to find there weren’t any episodes for teaching ideas for the last months of the school year. Would love if you released episodes for teaching ideas for the months of April, May and June if and when you get a chance to produce new content. 🤗 Thanks for a great teaching podcast, ladies!

    Thank You!
My name is Courtney and I have been teaching kindergarten for 4 years. I moved an hour away form my school back in December, and have been commuting to school since then. I started to look for podcasts to listen to on my drive. I found your podcast and it has completely changed the way I teach and made concrete some things I was already doing. I have listened to every podcast you have uploaded, and I crave more. I feel refreshed, excited, and prepared after listening to your podcast. Because of what I have learned in your podcast, I was able to take my lowest ability reading group from not know all of their letters/sounds at semester, to reading and being able to ID ~10 sight words in just 11 weeks. Please keep making and sharing your knowledge!

So helpful as I begin my teaching journey. I could listen to them talk about every aspect of teaching. So much practical advice. Sometimes I wish the episodes were longer!

Helped me get through my first year teaching Kinder
My first year teaching kinder was really tough. I absolutely love the grade level and I even student taught in it but I had almost no support in the lesson planning department I was basically expected to make magic out of dust. Anyway I listened to your podcast every morning on the way to school an It’s like having a veteran teacher right across the hall from you. I have used almost every idea that they have talked about on here. Especially ESGI it’s so amazing! I have also used the March planning idea where the students change out the lyrics for “All of the Raindrops” and my kids loved it they beg me to do it everyday. You ladies are both super knowledgeable and honestly #teachergoals Thank you both for you incredible ideas please keep it up!

    I love these ladies!
This podcast is my favorite teacher podcast. I love their humor, stories, and enthusiasm for this work with small children! I am a student teacher and hoping to be a kindergarten teacher when I graduate, these ladies give me all the best ideas and insight into working with littles. I’d love to hear more from them about classroom management strategies in kindergarten, and more of their stories about specific units, centers, and project they enjoy doing in their classes. Thanks ladies for doing this work!

    Review from a Future Teacher
I am currently studying to become a teacher for early elementary. I listen to this podcast while on my afternoon walk. I love the ideas and I find myself laughing out loud (surely passerby's think I’m crazy). They really make you feel like you’re right there in the room with them!

    Best Early Childhood PD
I’ve taught third grade for 11 years, and I was moved to kindergarten this year. I listened to all of the episodes before school started, and it really helped prepare me for the year.

    My favorite podcast!!!

    Wow! Great ideas for K!
I have taught bilingual kindergarten for 13 years (and middle school for 12 years before that - I was trained in single subjects originally) and I recently stumbled apon this podcast. It has opened a whole new world for me because I hadn't even thought about podcasts in education before. I am at a point in my career where I'm ready and thirsty to learn more about the kindergarten world and I want to see if there are more things I can do to help my students learn and grow. This podcast is filling in various gaps for me (I'm listening to all of the episodes from the beginning and finding gems in each one!) and explaining the rationale of teaching techniques some of which I was using already but wasn't really sure if they were good or not. It is helping me to flesh out my program without taking a lot of extra work and I can listen while preparing food and cleaning up in the kitchen. I believe that teaching kindergarten is this great tradition to be passed on from generation to generation and I am so appreciative of the time and love that Lyndsey and Kathy have put into this amazing resource so that I can learn more of this amazing tradition and be state of the art -research based - at the same time. I am enjoying teaching much more, my classroom is already becoming a more vibrant learning place and my students are becoming more enthusiastic and I suspect their academics are improving also as a result! Thank you, Kathy and Lyndsey, for your podcast and for being such awesome role models as educators!

    Feedback
As a Barton Reading & Spelling Tutor, I can’t get past the fact that one of the two podcasters keeps saying ‘kidses’. It’s just kids, no -es, no additional syllable. Reading science is important for even pre-K and kindergarten teachers to know.

Best podcast for a kindergarten teacher!
If you are trying to revive your kindergarten teaching, this is the podcast for you! It is like listening to and brainstorming with two trusted colleagues. I love that Kathy and Lyndsey are strong proponents of developmentally appropriate practice and supporters of learning through play. They also provide you with the research to back it up. They also have some really useful interviews. I look forward to each episode!

Thank you for bringing us Dr. Jean
This podcast episode is extremely inspiring. I’ve used Dr. Jean’s videos since I stepped into the classroom just over a year ago. I’m truly thankful to Lindsey and Kathleen for inviting her to join them. Dr. Jean, like the Kindergarten Kiosk Crew, is helping to mentor me these first years of teaching in the classroom. Thank you

    Love this mother-daughter duo
I was a kindergarten teaching assistant for two years while completing my degree online. This is my first year having my own classroom. I absolutely LOVE listening to Kathy and Lyndsey. They are both veteran kindergarten teachers who share CREATIVE and FUN ideas for the classroom. I love that their ideas are always linked to researched based practices. Highly recommend!

    My favorite teaching podcast!
I discovered this podcast a few months ago and have been listening to it religiously ever since. I am in my fifth year of teaching kindergarten. I learn something new every time I listen to one of these podcasts. I can truly say I am more reflective as a teacher and my practice has improved since I've started listening to your podcasts. I thank you and my students thank you as well! My only complaint is that there aren't enough to listen to! I hope you will continue to share many more of your insights, humor and expertise!

    I have learned so much!
I want to thank these ladies for producing this podcast. I am enjoying all of the content. I really enjoy listening to them discribe the activities they do with the students... like the play house! It sounds like the children in their classrooms are having so much fun while they learn. I aspire to have that experience! I graduated over a decade ago with my teaching degree and have had many jobs... but none as a classroom teacher, yet. A few 9-5's, sub teaching, and a teachers aide.... just recently went back to school and got my certificate back and am determined to get a regular teaching job. This podcast has helped me get my teacher mindset back...as opposed to substitute teacher. Also as a great bonus, I am a new mom (my daughter is 9 months old) and listening to this podcast has given me great insight as to how children learn... and I have used some of their strategies while teaching my daughter (such as pointing to words when I read them in her books, and making sure I talk to her with conversation rather than baby talk) Thanks ladies keep up the podcast!

I'm not an educator, but I enjoy listening to the podcast as a parent of young children. It helps me understand the different things my kid's teachers do in their classrooms!
