    COME BACK!
Whats going on? Ya'll haven't posted all month and its ruining my morning routine. I'm sad. Come back 😢

    Inconsistent
The news itself is good. The robot voices are not. And there are times it says from the Miami herald at the beginning 😂😂

    Robo Repeat in Miami
This is one of the worst podcasts that I listen to. First, the robo voice is creepy and mispronounces key words (Alex Poodilla? Really??) For a while the show was introduced as“The Miami Herald” before my Sacramento Bee briefing. That gave me daytime nightmares. Now the show cuts itself off halfway then starts over. Ridiculous! You’d think a conglomerate that owns newspapers all over the country could put together a 5 minute podcast 6 days a week.

    Robots reading news
I was excited to discover this podcast until hearing 3 days of Robots reading the news. I’ll stick with the NPR app for my local news.

    Ughh, Robots read the news!
The droning on of an artificial voice is just a grating noise to my ears.

    Sacramento Bee News
I like to hear the local news, but the robot voices are difficult to listen to. I hope they are ended and changed back to real people. At least twice the “robot news” was not there.

    Robot voice, late daily briefings
The robot voice is way worse than the human announcers. Also, today-Thursday 2/11 is at least the second time since the new year that a weekday update was not published
  • hello, Kyle
It was better when a person read it.
    Really though

    Robo news?
The SacBee can’t find a live human being with 4 minutes a day to spare???
  • Good content, no robots
Good content, but bring back real people
This provides good local and statewide news that you won’t get from a podcast like Up First. I highly recommend it if you want to keep up to date with news around Sacramento. Starting in 2021, though, the briefing is being read by text to voice software that really detracts from the listening experience. It was so bad, I had to turn it off yesterday. Bring back Joseph and the rest of the team to read the briefings. I like the personal touch from the Bee. Get rid of the robot.

Love the updates, need new speakers
The people...or bots reading this are cringeworthy to hear the way they read the news. I can’t even concentrate on what they are saying it’s so bad. Been putting up with the terrible way the updates have been delivered for a couple years. I think it’s finally time to unsubscribe the voices are getting even worse and more robotic sounding

    Bullet Points, Every Day
The Flash Briefing has the weather and bullet point headlines that start my day right. I love having local news in my podcast feed.

    Learn How to Pronounce Names
For a newspaper that takes part in Sacramento Kings games and promotions, the people reading these news briefs do not know how to pronounce the names of the players (and former players). It’s not that hard to look up correct pronunciation or just watch a game, you’ll figure it out. The worst was the way someone said “Valde Divac”, he’s from Serbia, it’s not phonetic.

Good overall, except for that one reporter...
Update 11/19: I unsubscribed. Couldn’t take it anymore as Joseph Delaney seemed to be commonly giving the updates. Horrible. I know friends and neighbors who have unsubscribes for the same reason. I appreciate the brief each morning, over breakfast, as I'm getting ready for the day. Overall, each episode and reporter are great. Though, like others have said, I do cringe when Joseph Delaney reports.

Straight to the point, but irritating reader.
Love the short and straight forward information but it’s so difficult, irritating and increasingly more annoying every time I hear the way Joseph Delaney broadcast it.

    Great
    Great!

    Impressively annoying voice for news.
It’s like Barney the dinosaur doing an old time news real.
