Longtime watcher/listener here. I have to agree with other viewers who are fed up with all the Diddy and Karen Reed coverage and not interested in “Talking Dateline” either. Those two ongoing trials just aren’t very interesting, and neither are the short discussion shows. I don’t know the origins of “talking Dateline”, but it seems like bad idea someone came up with as an attempt to “keep Dateline relevant “ and win brownie points from higher ups. The existing true crime podcast space has got that covered already. Please start making classic quality dateline shows again. It’s why we love you.

I just won’t listen to anything about that horrible person on your podcast or others. Enough already! He’s not worth my time. However, your other shows are all terrific. Love me some Mank!

Feed is convoluted. Special episodes mixed in with regular episodes is confusing.

No one wants play by play of diddy. No one needs the conversations about the episodes. Just the episodes. And preferably new ones. Please. That’s what you guys do better than anyone else.

I love listening to dateline and I love Andrea but, listening to the coverage on the Sean Combs trial has been difficult. I understand that the thoughts and options follow the average Joe but I also feel like it’s a lost opportunity to educate the public about these very nuanced topics from professionals. Laura Richards from Crime Analyst being a leader in the topic.

No one cares about Diddy. He’s an ugly dumb monster. Let’s fry him and move on. Stop already!

At what point do we just make a whole new channel for this useless stuff? The clutter is ridiculous.

I rated the show a five star, because it is, but stop with the Diddy stuff, he’s worth maybe one or two episodes at most. Diddy sounds like a poor excuse of a human being but I have better things to do with my time.

I love the show but do NOT like the Talking Dateline episodes. The latest one with Andrea Canning and Keith Morrison “The Other Side of Paradise” felt SO awkward!! Andrea’s questions were stupid and the silly giggling was uncomfortable. They really didn’t rehash the episode and there were no new insights. And please stop with all the Karen Read and Sean Combs episodes!!! Just stick to the regular Dateline episodes.

Between Karen Read and Diddy this show has gone to the birds. One good episode a week maybe. I’ve found better for free.

I used to love this show but I can’t stand the new talking dateline episodes and the trial episodes. Ughhhh, so I’m unfollowing.

Anyone else cringe each time Andrea C. reports that someone is physically beautiful? Or not physically beautiful? Her focus on people’s looks is so off putting. She’s so superficial. She said to a grieving mother, “___ was going to be somebody”. GOING TO BE somebody! As if a child has no value unless it grows up. Yikes.

What happened to the OG dateline show, when 40 and 120 minute shows were posted?I’m so tired of the talking datelines and opinions. I’m a subscriber but I’m considering ending that.

Please just stick with the dateline episodes. Create a new podcast channel for the talking dateline follow ups, they take up space and are a nuisance on the “up next” order

I don’t understand the logic of mixing all these other podcasts into the dateline feed. If we want to listen to them we can listen to them elsewhere, because they’re separate podcasts!!! It’s so annoying and honestly stupid.

This used to be true crime podcast versions of Dateline episodes, but now they are spamming the show’s feed with so much junk just to lazily try to take advantage of the show’s subscriber base. Unsurprisingly I have chose to unsubscribe.

Love the actual Dateline episodes. The talking Dateline stuff is ok. Not interested in the trial stuff and I’m tired of having to delete it or mark it as listened to every single day. Honestly thinking about unsubscribing.

The “Talking Dateline” episode “Deadly Omission” with these two is PAINFUL. “Right! I know! Like, right? Like, I know!” Ugh. It’s like listening to a couple of girls gossiping at a sleepover. 🤮 I use to enjoy listening to Dateline true crime stories, but lately it’s just a bunch of annoying fluff - Talkjng Dateline, Diddy, etc. And, honestly, I wish stories were categorized by the journalist telling the story. I love Keith and Josh, and Dennis is pretty good, but I can’t stand listening to Andrea and Blayne. Andrea interrupts and talks over people, and their voices are just frat-girl annoying. I’m cancelling my Premium membership if y’all don’t get back to the content and hosts that made you popular.

OG Dateline is what all other true crime is measured against. That being said, the Diddy trial, daily updates, and all of this other ‘fast food’ content is not true Dateline. Let me find my real Dateline episodes in peace.

Please make Talking Dateline and all the Karen Read and Diddy trial non sense separate! I don’t care what anyone’s opinions are on the stories. I want to hear Dateline true crime stories and that’s it. Someone suggest another similar podcast that’s minus all the fluff…

I wonder how many people, like me, mark all tears Diddy episodes as played just to get past them. This story is across every true crime podcast and I have zero interest in. Please move on.

I’m not an expert in why abused women stay with their abuser. Neither, apparently is Andrea Canning - or Chloe, the legal expert (?) who talks about Seam Combs’ crimes against women. I get it, this is trauma-tainment. But wouldn’t it be cool to include someone who does understand these things? Also, not every sexual encounter needs to be described as a “freak off.” You seem to be too enthralled by this word. This is reporting using the least amount of effort. And no, I don’t need to know the identities of the women to understand “context.” You just want to tell us what you know because it’s salacious. We already saw the violence Combs is capable of, we’ve heard it described, he copped to some of it. You’re just playing like this is journalism but honestly, I’m disgusted by you.

Please put all the Combs trial somewhere else. I miss the regular Datelines.

listening to Talking Dateline:The Last Mile and at the very end Josh Mankiewicz says what we all know and think and somehow is not addressed enough. Girls and women are taught so many rules of how protect themselves but the cause is not addressed enough that boys and men need to be the ones learning the lessons. I love every episode but this moment made me proud of what I lchoose to listen to ❤️

Can the Diddy podcast be its own thing? It’s clogging up the real stuff I like.

I love the True Crime Dateline podcast stories. Please sprinkle a few in throughout the Diddy trial for those that have seen and heard enough of him everywhere. Thank you.

My go to true crime, but I do miss the days of episodes on Tuesday AND Wednesday, not the Talking Dateline

I like dateline but there are better shows covering the Diddy trial. The valley—girl style of this reporting is bad. Also seems like one-sided reporting. Skip this one.

Can we please stop making stupid famous people more famous? This constant hourly update (seemingly) is getting away from what this podcast started as.

I really enjoy the core dateline episodes, but had to unsubscribe because the ‘talking dateline’, intros to new shows, and random pop culture trials like diddy kept overpowering the content I am subscribing for.

I really like true crime and Dateline, but it would be best to leave out any of NBC’s political views. This is supposed to be objective.

I enjoy dateline a lot but their coverage of the Diddy trial has been upsetting. I appreciate that people are innocent till proven guilty but I also think it is worth noting the cycle of abuse and how dangerous it can be to leave a partner, a boss, a spouse, etc. The show has put explained the environment of abuse in other episodes but not in this one. It’s really disappointing.

You should have reporters than have an understanding of the music industry and know the players of hip hop…a basic understanding of the history. The people speaking seem unsure and confused, not who I would use to get a true feeling of the trial. It’s uncomfortable to listen to. I listen to regularly and this needs a different touch than the usual. My rating isn’t overall specially for the trial coverage.

Just listened to Deadly Obsession. I enjoy the episodes but Andrea Canning needs to back off when talking to people, she constantly talks over them, interrupts them, is overly dramatic and multiple dumb questions and obvious statements. Hence lower review. Just let the story speak for itself. Don’t enjoy the Talking Dateline episodes so stopped listening to those. Listening to Diddy trial now. Chloe gives good info but for gods sake can someone talk to Andrea and tell her to just shut up. She talks way too much in these episodes. It’s annoying enough to start listening to anything but Dateline when she’s the moderator!

Considering the number of years you have been on the air, there should be a lot more shows available in podcast foreign, and honestly, make the talking dateline and the news updates separate-there are a lot of people who are not interested in all of the chatter, and just want the stories. Please return to your roots. Also, you're taking episodes that you aired when the podcast first started and repeating them, like recently with "11 Minutes". Really? Not the first time I've noticed it. So it's like not even airing a new episode. It's because you're spending so much time on all that other stuff that you can't give people new stories. You've ruined a good thing.
