    Jean makes complex issues understandable
I’ve been a fan of Jean for decades! I love how she focuses on issues important to women and how she translates complex financial topics into understandable language. It’s a great podcast!

    Upper class only
I’ve listened to this podcast for several years now and usually enjoy the information. But the Jan 2025 episode about FIRE was awful. The guest and her husband make 6 figures each. FIRE is easy for them. I’ve defended the podcast from friends saying it’s only for upper class people. I’ve slowly come to realize this is true. Unfollowed.

    Always helpful info
Plain and simple explanations given for very complex matters. I appreciate the expertise of Jean and her knowledgeable expert guests.

    Hmmmmm
Disclaimer: this is the first episode I’ve listened to (Dry January/money and alcohol), and I liked Jean’s guest very much. 2 things disturbed me, however: First, that Jean seemed to be able to discuss this topic without actually connecting with the fact that she days she is fine with using this drug every day and it’s no big deal. That was strangely at odds with her guest’s message (that there is always significance in choosing to take a mood-altering drug every day); and Second, that in an episode talking about the connections between trauma, drinking, and shopping, she would pitch buying cashmere sweaters on Quince! She even had to disclaim—“you may be surprised that I’m telling you to spend money, but in the long cold days after the magic of the holidays I need a little retail therapy”—what the?!?

    Boost your financial confidence
I’ve been a big fan of Jean’s ever since I first saw her on the Today Show 30 years ago, and was thrilled when I discovered her podcast a couple years ago. I’ve been a regular listener for years and with each episode my financial knowledge and confidence grows. Her speakers are always so interesting and she breaks down really complex topics into the basics we need to know. I love the range of topics that are relevant to women, from clothes shopping to death cleaning.

    Disappointed
I enjoy listening to your show. But when I listened to the election episode I was taken aback. I wish people would just stick to the information and not have to put their opinions in play. I felt it was another gripe session against trump. The country is getting tired of the same rhetoric. Don’t think I will be listening anymore.

    November 1 Politics
I was so saddened to experience a truly one sided political opinion on Her Money. If we are going to have the Washington Post, can we have the Wall Street Journal on the next episode? As Michael Jordan said ‘Republicans buy sneakers also’. And so do Independents. Love the show, Love the crew, but was the first time I felt bias here. Blessings to all and be well.

Her Money - The New Rules for Retirement
This is such a pragmatic & informative podcast. Jean Chatzky & Christine Benz clearly have a deep insight into the challenges & pitfalls with retirement and the planning process. As a recent retiree from Corporate America, this episode left me with several key actionable items to consider. I’m going back now & reevaluating my plan! Also, appreciated the recognition that there’s more to consider in retirement BEYOND the finances.

    Great info about data breach
Hello Jean, I listen to your podcast weekly. I truly enjoy and appreciate all the financial information you share on your podcast, specifically for women of all ages. I regularly encourage all my friends and family to listen to Her Money! Keep up the good work!

Great show and love your guests
I’ve been listening for over a year. I enjoyed watching you on the Today show, I love your passion for running and I love listening to your show. I think you bring a lot of great guests on and I’ve been turned on to other podcasts and books because of your content. I’m in the business of personal finance and think we definitely need more education around our field especially when it comes to the next generation and our kids in school. Money is different today and setting our kids up for success is my goal everyday. Thank you

Jean, champion of women and women’s money
Thank you Jean and Her money team for educating and fighting for women’s rights and money. I love women and men who love women. Jean, the love that you have for women, and wanting women to have success with their finances and career comes out very clearly. I’m a baby gen Xer, November 79. Also a immigrant to the USA. I’m quite behind in my finances and investing. Please continue encouraging us and teaching us Jean. So many finance podcasts are focused on Gen Z and younger, forgetting some of us Gen Xers never had this access to finance education and investment when we were younger thus being so behind.

    Informative!
Informative, but easy to listen to, on a variety of financial topics for listeners of all ages. I think it’s applicable to people of a variety of backgrounds as well. Spends a nice chunk of time answering questions, too!

    Great financial advice
I’ve been listening to HerMonry for years and have learned so much from Jean. My favorite part of the show in the Mailbag segment where she answers listeners’ questions. I’ve written into her a few times and have always gotten a response.

Helpful advice on how to manage credit card debt…
I’m glad that I found this podcasts and that they took time to answer my question about how to manage my credit card debt. Thank you Jean and Haley and the rest of your team for giving me the advice. I am grateful for your advice and I’m going to follow it. I think it’s the right thing to do in order for me to achieve my goal which is no debt if possible, while preparing myself for my retirement in the near future. I love listening to your podcast. I learned a lot about how to handle some financial concerns that most of us have. Thanks again!

    Thoughtful, interesting, practical
I’m 48 years old. I decided recently that 2024 was going to finally be the year I learned how money works. Jean and team provide kind advice in the Mailbag sessions to those with very limited financial knowledge, as well as those with more complex questions. The guests on the show are engaging and have helped me to think about money in both practical and more abstract ways. Her Money has become my Sunday morning ritual.

    Helpful advice and great content!
I’ve listened to this show for years and love the women-centered focus, the advice, the content, the tone, and the relatability. I recently emailed with feedback that I had and received a reply within hours, which was incredible. Thank you to the HerMoney team for all of your good work!

    Advertise
I think it is wrong for you to accept to advertise the Annuity company. As I’m sure you know annuities are a questionable investment. By you actually speaking the advertisement is the same as you promoting, agreeing, suggesting it is a good investment. Shame on you!

Great information wide range of topics
I find it interesting that people are saying they're unfollowing the podcast because it's gotten "political." To me that speaks more to the trend of politicizing many things that don't need to be. There are issues that absolutely do uniquely impact women financially and we need spaces to talk about it. Our society is so sensitive and polarized these days that we would rather not hear overall valuable information on the slight chance we might hear something that isn't perfectly aligned with our belief system? It's mind boggling. I do agree with others I'm not enjoying mail bag as much anymore. I also wish there was more content for the single ladies, single parents, those using the gig economy to offset costs etc. Just more that isn't focused on middle class (and up) business women working in corporate America. But all in all this is a very valuable resource and is in my must listen weekly rotation.

If podcasts could be on speed dial, Her Money would be Number 1!
What can I say other than you are missing out if you are not tuning in weekly to Jean and her team tackling personal finance and all that influences it. Jean is an effective communicator who makes personal finance accessible to every listener. She also does a great job connecting how each facet of our lives impacts how we manage our money. Whether you are new to personal finance or an expert, Jean breaks down topics so they are easy to understand and provides exceptional guidance on how you can take action in positively managing your money no matter what stage of life you are in. Thank you to the Her Money team for giving tangible resources to take control of our finances and building financial security for the future.

Why were attracted to money opposites
I just listened to this episode and thoroughly enjoyed it. I found the “money personality” information so interesting particularly as to how it effects partnerships. The questions posed by Jean were spot on (she read my mind!) and the interaction between Jean and her guest was so natural! I felt if I was having coffee with them (actually I was lol). I also enjoyed Scott’s explanation of how he and his wife “money launder” and not to focus on details of the spending. I’m recently married for a 2nd time and this episode will positively impact my relationship. Thanks Her Money!

    Quality compromised by ads
I used to be a loyal listener to this podcast, but lately this podcast has started included a lot more ads, including using responses to "mail bag" questions to promote Chatzky's paid "Fixx" class offerings. The final straw for me was a recent "bonus" episode promoting a fear-mongering book about Social Security "clawbacks." The advertising content has compromised the integrity of this show. I have unsubscribed.

    No financial education
Just a journalist. Suzie and Jill are the experts in this area. Jean is not qualified to talk money.

    Mail bag has become grating
I miss Kathryn Tuggle as part of mail bag. Jules’ voice is annoying along with her Nepo baby attitude. I used to enjoy the full podcast. Now I fast forward through mail bag.
  • twedtybird1
    Used to be great
I have been a listener to this podcast for years and have recommended it to many people. I have even written into the mail bag and appreciated a response back. However, it has unfortunately taken a political turn and although the virtue signaling is all about inclusivity, this podcast no longer feels welcoming to a Christian conservative woman. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but politics is not what I’m looking for in this podcast. Sad to say I’m removing it from my lineup.

Financial podcast geared towards different types of women
Been listening to and following this podcast since episode 1. She informs without sounding like an alarmist or sensationalistic and her soothing voice makes her a pleasure to listen to. She chooses an array of guests that seems to address each individual woman’s needs and situation. I also remember her from The Today Show, so listening to this podcast on a regular basis feels nostalgic and seamless.
  • jjt1412
Why did you have to go political
I love your show. However, I wish you’d keep politics out of it. I’m the mother of a 13 year old adopted child who is very wanted. (I thank his biological mother every day for choosing life for him). There are a lot of pro-lifer women like me out there that tune in to your show for great money advice Not politics!

The personal finance advice we all need
Jean has an incredible array of guests that help me understand what’s going on in the news and what it means for my finances. Her background is also SO impressive, I really trust her advice! She asks her guests the deep questions that really get to the heart of today’s issues and what they mean for women.

Savvy financial advice that you can understand
Finance and investing can be daunting for us regular folks, but Jean boils complex concepts down to their essence, explains financial matters in ways that you can understand, and provides actionable advice to achieve financial stability and grow your wealth. I highly recommend HerMoney.

Really??? She kicked a lot of older people to the curb through layoffs and the company declined dramatically under her leadership. She is also basicynot a very nice or emphatic person. We had so much enthusiasm when she was named as CEO but she actually gave woman leadership a bad name. I wish her well in her retirement pursuits but I wish she had wished her employees the same kind of fortune after working productively and professionally for decades.

    Just what I needed!
I have been listening to the Her Money podcast since the beginning. The episode with Career Coach Eliana Goldstein is the first show during which I took notes - 2 pages! I was laid off one month ago. Great timing and even greater advice. Thank you!

    Long episodes
I have enjoyed listening to this podcast for years and I have learned a ton; however, I feel the episodes are too long. I think 30 minutes episodes will be enough to keep the audience interested and well educated. Thank you for all that you do!

    Judgement free zone?
I loved this podcast for many years… it was great regarding insight and words of wisdom in terms in money. Where they lost me is there is always a ‘judgment free’ disclaimer, but I will say, that is only if you are in their lane politically speaking. Very disappointing because it was a great listen. Where they lost me was in the episode recently saying things would be better off if the nation looked more like California than Texas …. Judgment free??? 👋🏻

    A must for women everywhere!
Thanks, Jean! Your podcasts are always fantastic and messaging so important for women. Enjoyed the latest with Paco de Leon. I would have given it 6 stars, but only let me give it 5. Keep it going!

    Thank you Jean!!
I honestly don’t know how I would manage my finances without Jean. Thanks for creating a space for women to learn about their finances and get our lives together. You really make it so much easier to know what to do… we really don’t learn enough in school!
