As someone who has wanted to learn more about football from the perspective of other African people and those in the diaspora I like listening to these bruddas whenever they bless our podcast feeds. As an African american Chelsea supporter, finding people/voices who share a similar background and passion for soccer is kind of tough. I enjoy listening to this show for the unique perspectives, particularly on topics that other shows may not cover or identify as they can be more Black centric. They do spend majority of the time talking about United or Chelsea but otherwise touch on many broad topics!

Been listening for three years. I find the typical football podcast to be overly analytical and serious. Talking Tactics is an easy listen. Lighthearted and humorous but on point at the same time. I listen to upwards of 10 hours of football/soccer podcasts a week and this is the best hour. Daniel, HH, and Carl are insightful, funny, and easy to listen to all at once. I’ve been listening for nearly a year now and the episodes are always great, discussing everything from the latest CL games and all the European Leagues to big picture things like FFP. On a serious note, I appreciate their discussions on race in football (and in the world) and find them to be thought-provoking and valuable to every football/soccer fan. Keep doing what you guys do. And to HH, next year it’s semis minimum.

Ive only started to seriously watch and follow soccer since 2016 and being a fairly new fan of the game i find your conversations very insightful. Have been listening to this podcast for about a year now, and it is seriously one of the pods that I look forward to most, each week! One of the reasons that I like to listen, is because I am a white person from the Midwestern United States, and I enjoy being able to listen to people of other backgrounds talk about how they see the game. So, contrary to the popular saying, do not subscribe “because it’s free”, subscribe because it really is just a genuinely great podcast!

Thanks for the heartfelt and deep discussion on today’s podcast regarding racism in football, and society, and the history of racism, and the clarifying examples (e.g. John Terry) that drive home the extent and possible reasons for racism (e.g. education on history ignoring contributions from Africa etc.), and the different perspectives on what to do (e.g. John Barnes in his pajamas vs the recent Raheem Sterling approach). I listen to a bunch of football podcasts and it's easy to get jaded, but TT really offers something new in terms of level of seriousness and, more than anything else, insight. It doesn't fail to point out things that I haven't already heard, and for the most part, avoids too much nerdishness and general silliness. On the lighter side, one of the hosts (Daniel?) has the most brilliant infectious laugh, which never fails to put me in stitches, and the generally jovial and sometimes combative vibe is a great combo. The hosts all have their allegiances, but for my part it doesn't get in the way of serious analysis. Long live TT!

I always love a good football (soccer) podcast that has good insight and smart people speaking. It helps me relax and really is just a good way to spend the afternoon. You guys are really smart and I love your podcast and I have only just stumbled across it. I don’t think Zidane would be a good appointment for Manchester United. He struggled his last season to win the league with Real Madrid. Let me repeat: with Real Madrid. Yes, he won the Champions League three times, but you can truly judge a great manager by how good he does in the league. Imagine him now at Manchester United, in a tougher league, and with a less talented squad. Bring in Pochettino; he has experience and the style we are looking for.

I love the podcast. I listen to it, when I’m going to school. I have a question for Have Hope. I don’t know what you think , but I believe Messi has improved his game since 2014 and has shown this season he has the mentality to carry a time(basically winning the league for Barca). Do you think he has improved and can go all the way in Russia ?

I`m getting old and time is too short for listening forced humor and "laddishness" of most of the others. These guys are genuinely funny without seeming to try. This is the only football podcast that I really enjoy listening to. I recommend iy to anyone, unless your name is Benzema or Wenger or Rooney or..

So, when Rant co-host Paul Tweeted that he was visiting Talking Tactics to discuss World Cups past and future, I was excited to hear the shows. They were great. More important, I found a new podcast. And I'm happy that I did. The hosts know loads about football. But they also know how to keep me laughing while I learn. That is my favorite kind of podcast.

I can say this podcast provides the most entertaining football chat I've come across having listened to/watched other podcasts and fan channels, etc. The hosts are funny and informed on the topics. HH and his opinions are something of a force of nature, an immovable object. Daniel and Carl to a great job of presenting all sides of arguments. Overall, there's great chemistry and a refreshing mix of opinion between the three hosts. The show gets better week-to-week and listening feels the best parts of every debate you've had with your friends over the beautiful game. 5/5 -Seth B
