The Podcast is perfect!!! I love the rewatch while explaining things as they happen. This series tends to be one you can easily go off on a tangent, so the following along method is great. Also love the fact that I can faintly hear it, so I can listen at work. I’m having trouble understanding the re-builds and would love for you to do them as well as The End of Eva! Please?!?!? Plus perfect analysis and very good demeanor from the caster! Very very good cast 5 stars

After experiencing Eva for the first time I (obviously) needed more insight and perspective. I downloaded every Eva podcast I could find and this is by far the most thorough, well produced, and interesting podcast on the subject. I personally appreciate the English dub in the background, as it makes it a bit easier to keep track of the sequence of each episode as he’s talking. Thank you for creating this! I highly encourage an End of Eva episode (or 2)

I loved the podcast! I started a long time ago but since the Netflix release is imminent, I took the time to binge the rest. Your show surely earned the 5 stars I left as a review. I really appreciated the level of effort you clearly put into this project. I am very excited to show my spouse Evangelion for the first time in the coming days. Going in with the the renewed perspective I’ve gleaned from your analysis is very exciting. That being said, I truly hope you eventually tackle End of Evangelion. It feels like your podcast is missing it’s true ending, much like the reception of the original series. Cheers and hopefully see you at the End.

Jacob really went all out here. Such in depth character analysis, and he really sheds light on some of the most mysterious enigmas in neon genesis evangelion. And he does this in a coherent, accurate, and plausible way, in which the characters internal struggles and important themes are fully realized. I’ve learned even more about NGE now that I’ve listened, and I can’t wait to watch the series again. This truly brings out the beauty that Anno and sagisu poured into the series, and more. I realllly hope jacob plans on releasing an episode on The End of Evangelion. :( personally, it’s my favorite part of NGE, and he would do it justice.

Almost seems like it should be included in the blu-Ray( if there ever is one to be released in North America) Thanks for Bringing so much of what once lay shrouded in mystery to the light. There were many fine details that weren’t so obvious that made my appreciation for this series grew immensely. Should you find the time, PLEASE top it off with one that covers End of Evangelion!

I was late to the party, but this is great.

This podcast provides an excellent analysis of the plot and character depth of the show Neon Genesis Evangelion. I enjoy the recognition of the musical pieces and digging into the psychological themes that the series is ripe with. The host Jacob does a great job in pacing and being succinct while paying attention to detail. Also a great voice so listening is easy! I have enjoyed while at work and while watching the show at home. Highly recommended, 5 stars!

I just started listening to the podcast, but, this is a really good way for someone who enjoys the series but wants to really dig into the how's and why's of the Evangelion series.

Despite being a humble fan project, this podcast is extremely professionally made. Audio, structure, coherency, all get top marks. As far as the content goes, it is superb. While the episodes are a bit brief, (perhaps only seeming so because of my desire to keep listening) they are very dense, packed with interesting insight. He has a great radio voice, and speaks very clearly. He has excellent analysis of the lore, plot, and science of the show. Where this podcast truly goes above and beyond, is its alalysis of the characters. He analyzes everything in a scene that may possibly say something about the characters. I especially love his analysis of Rei. He is bringing up points and perspectives I had never thought about. With the other characters as well. Overall, it is an outstanding podcast, and I look forward to enjoying his content for a long time, possibly even beyond the end of the series.

I was specifically looking for an Evangelion podcast that was both fun to listen to and full of information. This one fit the bill perfectly. Each episode is packed with personal commentary as well as tons of insights and observations. The host clearly does his research beforehand and it shows along with his love for the series. A great companion piece for any fan of the series! My only recommendation is that the host do more bonus episodes focusing more in depth on characters, themes or story elements that aren't covered in the episode. This is a minor nitpick brought on by my eagerness to get to the end of the series though, where there's so many fascinating things to discuss! Great podcast!

This is right up there w the best of the eva podcasts. Really enjoy the format w the episodes just audible enough to let you know what's happening. Great for those of us who don't watch while listening.

This podcast is absolutely amazing. I really enjoy Jacob's insights into the show, and the community segments as well.
