Twenty episodes in, enjoying the length of the podcast. The hosts clearly enjoy the subject matter which makes this old gore hound happy. They have covered a good range of films and the upcoming episodes look to cover even more. I remember clearing horror shelves at my local video store and keeping records myself. So, listen they are having a bunch of fun and you can join in.

A lot of great content... but, I miss Marion :(

I’m on the poltergeist episode & omg... the use of the word “like” between these two hosts ... I can’t even get thru it... their research, the movie choices, the chemistry between hosts, all great but the insanely repetitive use of the word “like” makes them sound very valley girl & cringeworthy. I really hope the rest of the episodes aren’t like this but I think it’s just a really bad habit that will follow every sentence spoken unfortunately.

The short of it: I love the commentary, the different perspectives of some of my favorite horror movies, and the factoids. Keep the episodes coming!

Found this gem of a podcast and absolutely love it. I love that they talk about lesser known movies and include the gore rating just in case I’m not feeling that. Thanks for adding a bunch of movies to my horror list!

I really like the chemistry between these two. They know their stuff and have OPINIONS instead of group-think tested thoughts. Keep up the good work.

This show is one of my favorite things! As a person who has not seen most of these films because of the fear of Satan 👹 it’s been a great way to catch up and now serve the dark lord. It’s an honor to produce this show!

If you love horror movies this podcast is a must. It come from two women who love and understand horror movies. It’s a fun way to get a breakdown on many of the classic horror movies from the 70’s 80’s and more. Julia and Marion are great! Horror movie survival guide is (Highly recommended).

The banter between co-hosts, film reviews, and back story make this one of (if not my) favorite podcasts!! I have discovered, and rediscovered, several films I had no prior knowledge of or had forgotten. More often than not Julia’s and Marion’s perspectives align with mine. However, on the occasion they offer a differing perspective it gives me an opportunity to look at a film with fresh eyes. If only I could give more than five stars!! I look forward to Mondays!!

Easily one of my favorite new podcasts, found it when Julia was on movie crypt and she was so charming that I had to check it out, and I'm so glad I did! She also has an film called "out of print" which is awesome, definitely want more content from her!! Great horror podcast!!

This is a very insightful podcast for TRUE horror movie fans. They respect the films and are very intelligent and hilarious without the podcast being in-jokey and inaccessible, as too many other horror movie podcasts are. This is a gem and should be required listening for anyone who wants to improve their horror movie knowledge. A+++!!!

I would legitimately buy Julia and Marion’s horror movie notebook if it got published. This 30 minute weekly podcast takes you through every horror movie they logged in that notebook from college, and it’s wildly entertaining. Each episode is filled with witty, candid and often times, flat out hilarious commentary about the films they discuss and their characters. I absolutely love their insights and personal antidotes about their first time experiences watching these films too! Listening to each new episode is quickly becoming one of my favorite times of the week!

As a fellow female horror hound and podcaster, I found Julia and Marion’s insights thoughtful and funny. Keep up the good work, ladies.

I am a big fan of the horror genre and of horror podcasts. Frankly they are a dime a dozen and it's hard to find something you haven't heard before. This show has two super knowledgeable hosts who can really sit down and discuss movies and obscure tidbits even the seasoned horror fan doesn't know. I'm a lifelong horror fan and nothing bugs me more than when a horror host says "I'd never seen or heard of the title before the show". If you're going to have a show, you better know you're stuff and these girls know their stuff. I have the shared experience of losing myself in the horror section of a video store and amassing a substantial VHS collection. I could have easily been friends with these ladies. The notion that these girls had to review & document the!films before they ever had a platform to discuss it shows real imagination and foresight. I gave this podcast a 4 because the show is still in it's infancy and it can only get better. Good luck with it. I'll be listening.
