I absolutely love the topics and its really fun when you guys just ramble even if its not related to it!! If you are new to this show and over 25 skip the first 100 episodes, the episodes are good but more high school and college focused. I’m 38 about five years ago I first heard the term demisexual. While researching Demi, how I now identify as. I found an article talking of this podcast. About a year ago I finally gave it a listen. I’m almost caught up on it and it’s definitely a fun podcast. They do some serious episodes and I learned a lot to help me with my own journey of understanding my sexuality. Over all it’s a silly podcast that makes me laugh! Plus I’m a Michigander like the host. I will say I was disappointed with how they don’t understand Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The movie is masterpiece and the fact it was made is amazing and probably never happen again. Also they never watched the Animaniacs. Wish they would talk more about BLACKPINK and Stray Kids when they go down the K-Pop rabbit holes. Anyway in this this review is a good representation of how an episode goes! Everyone should listen to this podcast

Hi! Love this podcast- I'm genderqueer, asexual, and biromantic. I just felt like reviewing to drown out all the bad reviews.

I don’t understand why people are giving this podcast such bad reviews, it’s a genuinely good show. My favorite episodes are probably the AITA and Reddit episodes, and when they just do weird stuff like taking quizzes.

I gave this podcast a fair shot and listened to 20-ish episodes. I’m ace and don’t feel this is a good representation. There’s often a lot of irrelevant and boring rambling and/or arrogance with very little education or interesting thought.

I LOVE THIS PODCAST!! I haven’t found any other podcasts or shows about the experiences of aspec ppl! Do more pls!

I gave this podcast a true shot , but every episode I tried to listen to I could barely get through. Why are these young 20 somethings giving relationship advice ? It’s cringe and extremely annoying to get through an episode especially the ones they are just talking about themselves or literally about nothing back and forth. A bunch of unfunny uninteresting fluff

This podcast has helped me so much on my journey to understanding my identity and place on the aspectrum. Kayla and Sarah are hilarious and never fail to make me feel seen.

Let me start off with, I love this pod. As an AroAce like myself, you can feel alone sometimes. When others don’t understand you and you don’t understand what others are trying to say. It’s a lot of confusion. Shara and Kayla I connect with. I love the dynamic that these two have. And they try to explain what I don’t understand. But it is really funny when both of them are confused and have to google it. Anyways, I just wanted to say I love the pod and keep it up. Love you guys :)

How in the world did these two get a podcast? It’s like eavesdropping on two high schoolers who think they have the life experience to spout off on complicated issues. With no research. Just opinion. And ‘like, like, like’. Stop saying ‘like’.

The content is excellent, but what this did for me was humanize being on the Asexual spectrum. I participate in many online communities, and navigate the Internet with my screen reader that provides synthetic speech for on screen content. The result is people were posting their experiences, but they didn’t sound human. The videos and recordings I could find were from people that sounded like they were just reading a script, so their delivery was robotic. Some weeks are better than others for sure, but my experience is now humanized. The only reason I’m not subscribed and have listener stats is I’m following the patreon feed.

Some of the episodes are ok but the most recent one is excruciating. It’s like getting dental work done without anxiety meds. The one with the strong midwestern accent is especially awful.

I thought I was demisexual a while ago but it’s kinda controversial to people so I denied it, but recently I went back to considering it. It’s a term that feels like home to me rn which is really comforting. In fact I figured out I’m a Panromantic demisexual and I recently came out to my best friend which took the biggest weight off my shoulders. I recently found this podcast and it just makes things mor clear for me.

As someone who has recently discovered their own asexuality, this podcast and the hosts have been so AMAZING to see on social media and to listen to. So validating. <3

I recommend it for apecs and people interested in learning. It pairs well with introspection on your sexuality and a charming voiceover-free video game with annoyingly difficult mini games. As an ace person who is tired of only hearing asexuality and aromanticism discussed at the introductory level, I love how this podcast approaches these orientations from multiple perspectives and intersections. Having friends, parents, and siblings as guests makes the show personal in a way that feels lacking in how ace and aro-ness are discussed in the media. Also, I love hearing Kayla and Sarah talk about their classes and extracurriculars. They are such smart, achieving women who give me hope in the younger generation.

Um hey, a few things: I'm not an avid podcast listener. Even though I co-host a podcast, I like creating it but I've never been a huge fan of listening to podcasts. But as a lonely ace in a world that sometimes feels so sex-driven, I'm always looking for ace representation and discussion. I'm in a Faceboop group for aces and someone linked an article that listed podcasts by and for ace folks. I clicked on it SO FAST. I decided to give this one a listen first, because the premise intrigued me and I love a conversational vibe. I like to go back to the first episode with podcasts, even if they start out with sub-par quality or take some time to get their footing...I like to follow their journey. And I've only listened to the first episode but I just had to say THANK YOU. I love it. It's hilarious. It's relatable. And it makes me go "Hey! They're talking about me!" which is so rare as an asexual. Thanks ladies, you rock and I look forward to enjoying the next 130+ episodes.

I’m 32, and I didn’t discover I was ace until two years ago—just a few months after this podcast started. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t discover the podcast until three weeks ago. I loved it so much that I listened to every single episode so that I could be caught up for when episode 100 is released today. It was worth every minute. I feel like I’ve gotten an education on what it means to be ace in both the ace/lgbtq community as well as in broader society. On top of that, Sarah and Kayla are just downright hilarious. They have great chemistry and are really enjoyable to listen to. I’d recommend this podcast to anyone who is asexual and/or interested in the intersection of sexuality and culture.

I just discovered this podcast and I’m so glad it exists. I’m giving 5 stars bc I want to boost visibility and we need more like it. I have 2 comments though that I hope will come across as constructive feedback and not hate – on the whole I am really enjoying this! 1– There are a lot of tangents which are often fun, but can make the discussion a little hard to follow (especially since I split episodes between commuting to & from work). Wondering if you’d consider doing shorter, more focused episodes sometimes? Maybe answering listener questions, or something else very specific? 2– One episode I’ve heard so far was extremely hard to listen to, and that was #38. In that episode, Sarah talks about feelings about the hyper couple-focused world we live in, and some of the things she shared felt extremely poignant, tender, and relatable to me. It felt really good to hear someone else expressing fears, doubts, and hard feelings that I too have felt. But I was really disappointed by Kayla’s responses, and in particular the way that Kayla seemed to be minimizing or dismissing Sarah’s feelings. For instance, Sarah expressed the fear that her friends are going to all couple up and disappear from her life, to which Kayla said something like “That won’t happen!” As a 30-yr-old demiaro ace, I HAVE lost friends this way. That kind of dismissal is what I get all the time from allo friends who Don’t Get It. Y’all clearly have a loving and beautiful friendship, and I trust that those comments probably didn’t hit Sarah the way they hit me. But I wanted to write an honest comment to y’all about how hard that was to hear. I hope that you’ll both stay as open & curious about each other’s different experiences as you would anyone else in the world to be, and encourage Kayla to remember that there are microacegressions that arospec people may experience that you don’t, and practice active listening always. I’m writing all of this from a place of love and appreciation for all you do, truly. Please keep it up.
