sucky glitchHighly recommendI love the way he breaks down the grammar, while also keeping it interesting and even fun. For me, this helps a lot to remember the points and stay focused. Definitely good material for learning Japanese whether your a beginner or somewhat intermediate! Also please renew your website I can’t access the 30 day challenge bc the website said it expired 😭🙏🏼

Doctor Songwriter Who!Teacher has passion!John 先生 is very passionate about teaching Japanese! His dedication to doing this on a daily basis shows that he cares for the beginning learners. He is able to introduce and take good care of those who may or may not be interested in learner the language. Th down side is for the intermediate learners like myself. The 5 minutes needs to be accompanied by some kind of formal training because listening alone doesn’t really do much for me. Being an anime fan made it interesting since John live anime too. After listening to a years worth of back episodes, it’s no doing it for me anymore, but he is still a great motivating teacher.

danielsan055 starsWhen I started this podcast, I was confused by the complexity of the topics of each episode. However, this changed after starting over with the 30-day challenge; from there, Sensei John builds up your knowledge and understanding of Japanese little by little, in 5 minute increments that don’t waste your time nor insult your intelligence. I HIGHLY recommend this podcast for any new speakers or anyone trying to revisit Japanese.

DaddyDeeKeiAwesome TeacherGreat podcast by a great teacher. This guy learned Japanese by living there and makes his lessons extremely relatable from an American perspective. AMAZING PODCAST, 100% recommend to anyone willing to learn. The guys who rated low stars think they know more japanese than the teacher, which is laughable because he's textbook accurate with an innate sense of the cultural background of the language. Fun to listen to, quality material, easy listening. 日本語の勉強頑張ってね!
-

He’s a good business partner and works to develop the best possible product for his listeners. I listen to the podcast and learn stuff even though I’m at an intermediate level already. Keep going bro!

Alanis18Quick lessons for those with limited timeI like that each episode focuses on one concept at a time. If I could change anything, I’d have more time spent on examples/explanation of concepts. I’d like the show to be a little longer, because most episodes don’t actually last 5 minutes. However, it is good for fitting a little bit of Japanese practice in when crunched for time.
-
iJuke31FantasticIt’s difficult for many podcasts to release an episode every week...This man does it almost every day! Learning Japanese is a never-ending journey and every student is guaranteed to learn something here.
-
Cunning CockatooNot helpful. You speak so quickly, it is difficult to understand. Not your Japanese, rather your English explanations are so incredibly hurried it is difficult to understand what you mean.
