Hello! I just learned about your podcast last week but really wish I had before the end 🙁 I am from New York and lived in Tokyo from 2017-2020. I haven’t been great at learning languages so it was challenging for me to really tap into learning Japanese while living in Japan. Now that I am back in the U.S., I have been strict with my self study. Thank you for creating interesting content in English and Japanese! The podcast is easy to follow and I can test my listening/vocabulary skills as a beginner. I will enjoy the last couple of episodes and will also go back to previous seasons while on this language journey. Thank you!

Hey Konipo team. I have been listening to your podcast for several year and finally decided to give you a long deserved well overdue review. I have lived in Japan from 2018-2022, in Saitama, for a temporary work reassignment. I can say it was the best time of my life as I met my wife there, got married, and started a family. I am now back living in the US, but I listen to your episodes every week. Every time I listen, I am filled with nostalgia and taken back to my days living in Japan. I am hoping to find a job in Japan again and move out there in the future. Thanks for making great shows!

Great for Japanese learners to have on while doing other work. Very educational and for someone who’s still a beginner, much more efficient for learning than full immersion!

This podcast is exceptional for English to Japanese learners just filling headspace!!! The topics are contemporary, informative, unusual and nonetheless interesting! The audio’s atmosphere is high quality and Japanese can be heard from all of the hosts, introducing sounds from different accents. Yurie, My and Dan carry a modern demeanor for their approach to entertainment. LASTLY, what I love most is that during active listening, my attention doesn’t distract when a long string of Japanese is spoken since my home language is essential to their implementation. Also, Yurie’s voice is freaking sexy.

This has become my favorite podcast. I look forward to every episode. I listen to it while I drive to work. I’m an English speaker who is trying to learn Japanese, and this podcast has been a fantastic resource for me. Every conversation topic, and the banter, is amusing.

Been learning Japanese for a couple of months now. This podcast is mainly for entertainment, but if you apply yourself , you can use it as a means of learning , just like watching anime , very nice podcast

I heard this Podcast from my Japanese Teacher and fell in love!!! This make me think if your team can come up with Chinese,Japanese, and English mix conversation will be so so so cool! But maybe a little チャレンジすぎる😃

I’m Japanese but haven’t had much of a chance to speak or listen recently. Going to Japan in the fall so this is very helpful to get my comprehension skills up!

This was such an awesome find, because it’s really difficult to find anything geared towards language learning that’s conversational. If you want to learn how to speak Japanese/English as it’s spoken conversationally by everyday people, this is probably the most laugh-out-loud, interesting, effective way to do so. If for nothing else but the hilarity that is Episode 2’s “J’ai Tres Faim!”, tune in!
