IphanplayerRehashed content weeks lateAll this podcast is consists of audio from YouTube videos that were released a week earlier. How lazy can you be as a podcaster? We can just watch the YouTube videos and get this content a week earlier. Lame. What a hack

Countin CalGreat poker content even better life contentThis pod is a great listen for anyone even mildly interested in poker or has kids or likes sports or has a job or is looking for an escape. Pretty much anyone with a pulse should give this a listen and you will be drawn into the story. The sweat listening to the poker sessions is engaging and insightful with the best player descriptions anywhere! The inclusion of everything non-poker like coaching his kids basketball teams or the restaurants he visits really help to make this a pod about much more than poker. DGAF is a great story teller and is creating an amazing community for those who want to engage with other communal folks. With each episode I am excited to see where we will go, it could be a 2-5 poker session, a 10-20 session or a high roller story or a recap of the last basketball practice no matter what it will be a fun and entertaining listen! DGAF provides a positive outlook on a variety of circumstances. Wether it’s addressing mental health, sharing an uplifting story or finding understanding for everyone this pod consistently helps me gain perspective in my own life. This is an amazing podcast!

zchallA Poker Lifer's Life Story - What a JourneyThis podcast is about being a human first, and a poker pro second. The most important things in DGAF's life are his kids, his girlfriend, his podcast, and his life story. Only after that in importance comes the poker. You get to learn the man behind the mic: his humor, his foibles, his rage, and his huge heart. Just as all movies aren't about the plot, all poker content isn't about the poker. If you find yourself enjoying movies, books, and shows for the character development and growth and human hilarity, you'll probably enjoy this podcast. If poker is all you think about and all you care about, well there are plenty of other podcasts out there for you. Don't get it twisted though - the poker sessions described in the podcast are a big part and are always very entertaining too. DGAF's amazing ability to weave a wonderful tapestry out of everyday life is what makes this podcast amazing. He draws wonderful people to him by sheer force of will. If you're drawn to this podcast like I was, you're cut from the same wonderful cloth as the people in this community.

Lisa from the ROCJumped aboard!I didn’t know what to expect from this pod cast and it is everything I didn’t expect. If that makes sense. DGAF invites you into his life, the ups and downs, the good the bad, the pretty and the ugly. I have grown to respect the man behind the mic. I jumped aboard for the porker content from who I have learned is one of the greatest of all times. I have learned so much from his unique insight into the game and look forward to when I can play live poker again. But the surprise is I have learned life experience as well. The honesty DGAF spews about his life and hardships and dealing with those two things is not only sad at times but encouraging and hopeful. The love he has for LMF and LF and the sacrifices he makes to keep their lives running smooth along the tracks is just pure love! I’m completely hooked and have a lot of catching up to do and I look forward to every time the whistle blows!! Steam on brother and may you achieve this third rise with dignity and grace. Thank you for bringing us all along to learn and grow with you. Peace! Lisa S.

Richard PhilosophyStunning, Brilliant, and TransformativeThis outstanding podcast by the legendary poker player DGAF who has earned the respect of top poker players like Garrett Adelstein, Matt Berkey, Tervor Savage, and Matt Moore, has produced a Podcast that towers above all other poker podcasts. What you get is a glimpse into the nature of human life, with all its beauty, struggles, and triumphs. The poker stories, and the details of the poker sessions and hand history are awesome, but what sets Sessions apart is that DGAF provides a profound glimpse into the deepest features of the human heart, in ways that resonates with us, but that most of us are too afraid to reveal. He tells us exactly how he feels, thinks, and behaves, sometimes to the shock of the listener, because he’s willing to share motives or actions that are less than flattering or pretty, which most of us try to conceal. There is no podcast like this in which a real, flesh and blood human being, is willing to be so brutally honest with himself and with us, as he takes us on a journey that, despite all its sweat, pain, and toil, will ultimately result in success, joy, and deep happiness.

san diego jenGreat Pod!Just discovered this pod. What a gem! Love following his reentry into poker and his honest and raw look into his life. I can relate to balancing life/kids with playing poker. Now all I have to do is finish the 2018/2019 stories so I can get up to date!

poiuyyrdhhListen once, you’ll be hooked!I dare anyone to listen to only one episode of this podcast! There’s something addictive about the story, the way he tells it, the interweaving of poker, kids, Vegas life etc that will not let you go! Sometimes it feels like a car crash, but you’re hoping against hope he’ll jump out of the car and say ‘I’m fine, folks’. Truly a captivating podcast, highly recommended. YmcQ

MC from HHGreat listen“My hand wasn’t that great, 3 high but whatever...”. 😜 I started listening to this Pod from the beginning recently and I’m totally hooked. I like getting onto the mind of a grinder and hearing about the daily life experiences too. DGAF - I’m rooting for ya!!!!

_JJD_Totally CaptivatingIf you enjoy poker, this is a must listen for great insight and entertaining poker tales from a grizzled live poker vet. But if you arrive for the poker, you’ll stay for the captivating story of DGAF’s life. It’s quickly apparent that DGAF is a dedicated father, and despite life’s struggles, he’s fully committed to rise above, and use his podcast to build something greater that transcends poker. DGAF’s story is transparent, vulnerable, and his willingness to share it all to not only help himself, but build a community to lift up others through reciprocation is inspiring. It takes very little time to feel like you’re invested in the story, and he’s right, once you’re invested in the story, it becomes even more exciting once you’re invested in the community. DGAF is the tour guide on an old school bus in the mountains, and we’re his passengers. The ride is gonna be bumpy, and a little dusty. The bus may stall a couple times, but everyone is gonna get out to pitch in to fix it. You’re gonna be rooting for the bus to climb to the top, and you’re sure it’s gonna get there. The view at the top is gonna be epic. And make sure you’re wearing Poker Rags gear on the trip, so at least you’ll be incredibly comfortable for the journey. JJD

pewplExcellent EscapeI started listening to this podcast to follow along with DGAF’s poker sessions and scratch my poker itch while on my daily commute. And I still love hearing about the poker hands - it’s the perfect way to wipe the cobwebs off that part of my brain and “sweat” a session daily while stuck in traffic. But now I’m invested. The non-poker part of each episode (detailing the real not-always-glamorous life of a poker pro) is amazing. I can’t help but love the relaxed Cali-surfer-carnie-dad-high stakes pro perspective on life, fatherhood, poker, and mental health. It’s somehow both engaging enough to get me through a boring drive and soothing enough to fall asleep to. That alone makes it an amazing podcast, but if you want more, the community of fans and supporters is perhaps the most inclusive and generous group of former-strangers on earth. I can’t speak highly enough of this one. Give it a shot.

FuxxnutsGavin puts it on the glassF the nits @ the B. I am rooting for DGAF in his journey to the third coming. His stories about his real life stories about his family and struggles with the alimony and kids are refreshing yet also somewhat concerning. As a protagonist to this story you can only but cheer him on. Lets all look forward to a better life post-corona. Stay safe “Gavin”.

CalBandGreatMy favorite podcastSessions is easily my favorite podcast! I was drawn to DGAF’s thread on 2+2 because I could tell that he had a great poker mind and I strongly agree with him on variance, how to conduct yourself on the poker table and in life in general. I became a patron to pay DGAF back for all of the great content in his thread without planning on listening to the podcast because I never used to listen to podcasts. I started listening to the podcast when he made his wsop run last year (those are still some of my favorite of his podcasts) and I have been a regular listener since. I kept listening to the podcast because it was entertaining, but besides being entertaining, more importantly it has improved my mental health. The main way that it has improved my mental health is that it showed me the value of controlled breathing. (Btw, I thought CBT meant Controlled Breathing Technic for a long time). DGAF talking about the value of breathing when he is feeling anxiety has been a great reminder for me to do my breathing. Another great thing about the podcast is the constant reminder from DGAF to find understanding in the behavior of others, even the nits. One of my flaws is that I can be easily frustrated with people and this podcast has helped me do a better job of trying to find understanding of nitty behavior. Also, I really appreciate DGAF’s perspective on what matters in life; family, friends and being good to people. In March the stress and anxiety of having a newborn and running a business in a pandemic overwhelmed me and listening to the podcast was a much needed escape for me. The Alex Livingston podcasts stand out as being an especially good escape when my anxiety was the highest because my 1 week old son was in the hospital and we didn’t know what was wrong with him. After 2 days of tests we found out that was fine and he has been doing great ever since! Finally, I have loved to see the community grow these last 4+ months during the pandemic. I have enjoyed playing in the DGAF home games and spending some time in the DGAF community and Slack. Having a 3 year old and a newborn and the increased challenges of running a business during a pandemic means that I don’t have much free time these days, but I do plan on getting more involved in the community in the future. Thank you DGAF for your amazing podcast and community!

CoachSam30Life Changing PodcastI have been an avid listener to Sessions since May of 2019. I went back and started with Season 1, Episode 1. To say there have been epic changes in the pod would be a massive understatement. Not only has DGAF evolved as the best podcaster in the game, but his life and mine have also evolved for the better! After listening to the pod as a NIT (non-reciprocator) for 2.5 months, I decided to contribute to the pod. The decision to do so has given me much more than I could ever expect. Not only do I feel great contributing to the success of DGAF, I get access to an amazing community of people who are truly looking out for one another. I have gotten a chance to meet new people, discuss the ups and downs of life and sprinkle in a little poker. The community as been especially helpful during the quarantine period. Zoom parties, forum discussions and Slack pictures/comments have been a great outlet for me. I am sincerely looking forward to the ultimate comeback of a man on the grind. From the bottom of my heart, I truly want to thank DGAF for sharing his story, for the epic communal community and thus HELPING CHANGE MY LIFE! - EDONK

JoA127DGAF Community is GOATThis is Mike Trout on Mrs. Trout’s account because I’m a Boomer. I started listening for the poker. I watched poker vlogs & craved more content, so it was only natural that I found DGAF. That path was probably taken by many listeners who stumbled across Sessions, at least at first. Eventually I realized DGAF was the same creator who wrote “The Abyss” post on 2+2 that I had saved, shared and read countless times to remind myself how much of a beast variance really is. In his Sessions podcast just like in the “The Abyss” post, DGAF gives it to the listener straight. I thoroughly enjoy the authenticity of the story of DGAF’s life and his inevitable third rise in poker. There is no doubt I would have continued to listen and support the podcast on its own. But DGAF has built so much more than just a podcast following! IT WAS A GAME CHANGER when I was introduced to the DGAF Community & started to meet and interact with other supporters. Between the online forum, Slack channel & DGAF home games, I have made dozens of new friends from all over the country & the world. All of them share a similar passion for community and helping others…and most of them love to degen like me too! More importantly, members of the community go to great lengths to help other community members, set great examples of role models in the poker world and provide some fun and relief through these stressful times. Simply put, DGAF Community is the GOAT. Like if you took the best parts from Lebron and MJ and smashed them all together. Quick story about how great the community is…We had a Zoom Binker going on last night & DGAF decided to turn it into a way to start a college fund for the little girl we are expecting any day now. Seeing countless strangers contribute and offer kind words of encouargemnt blew my mind. Honestly, it was uncomfortable at first. But if you are part of a community, you let people do nice things for you and you do nice things for them. That’s just the way it works! Since DGAF usually reads these on the pod, I wanted to take a second to tell everyone how much they have meant to me over the past few months. The kindness & generosity of this group is unmatched and is truly inspirational. - THANK YOU to DGAF for having the vision to create this entire “world” for us. Without you, none of this exists and none of us know each other. Crazy to think about! - THANK YOU to EDonk, Mike Jojo, Fist & Kip, Jim R, Irieguy, AP, Moose, Yelsni, Vic Fuentes + Suzy, Hun 2 Virgils, SAVAGES, Czech Raise Charles, Who Dis, Neuro Nerd, Amazing Brian Space, Tallamore, Generic, Rick pewpl, Death Eatr, SMELLS, Jimmy Donuts, Evilfishy, Rackinup, Alex Banana, Chili dog my hero, Bill Perkins, Catspearos and Abbie, Walt passed out on the Zoom, Silent SoundGuy Crusher, Nik, Matt B, Loppie, Dtown Degen, Zogs, TELOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, Ryan Arnold, Scott Wygal, Dez frickin Bryant, Sean Snyder, Garen, Drax, JMC, Kickball Robert, Verloc. - I’m sure I left some great people out, sorry about that. JodySavTake the train to escapeville and follow the JourneySessions is not just a podcast about poker. It’s the real, raw and unfiltered story of a man who has hit rock bottom. It’s about the journey of self discovery that is necessary when you hit that rock bottom. It’s about being a parent and navigating the difficult waters of joint custody without a permanent residence. Most of all it’s about establishing something more than just a podcast. It’s about developing a community of communal people, people who reciprocate. I encourage everyone to hop aboard the train, enjoy the ride, support each other and follow along as our hero inevitably ascends to the top of the mountain.

arobb1981Straddles onNot much else to say than this is one of the best podcasts out there. The story is real, and anyone who listens will get caught up in it.

LovingWings2Just a man trying to make a better lifeI depend on this pod to help me detilt and relax after a session or after facing the stress of normal life. I listen to it every night as part of my bed time routine. DGAF has one of the most soothing, voices. And his storytelling abilities are on par with anyone out there. It’s not just about poker, it’s about a man trying to do right by his family, and be the best father he can be. I am always deeply moved by his love for his children. I’m moved by his resilience. Yes, this is poker podcast but it shines the brightest when it touches on his humanity. It’s worth a listen for anyone, even if poker isn’t your thing. It’s a glimpse into the world of poker, and while their are hand histories, there are stories about being a father, reflecting on on our mistakes, and over all a story in real time about growth and betterment . Rarely in this day and age, in a world of YouTube that is full of fake ness, and clickbait do we get something so raw, honest and intimate. Thank you, DGAF.

FeeeeeeeekThe TOP DOG of poker podcastsNot only is this my favorite poker podcast, it’s my favorite podcast period. Came for the poker hands, stayed for the incredible story of DGAFs life.

#1 DengenBest podcastDegen life !!!
-
ROPrattWow.Dgaf. I love the Limon interview. That 3 part series was great. All the podcasts are great, but I love those that peel the curtain back and show how one got their start, makes a living gambling, and gives insight to that old school 90’s-2000’s poker era. Just great man. The podcast is shaping up to be a great one. It gets better with every episode.
-
OldManRiverA riveting poker odysseyTake a look behind the curtain of the day to day experiences of a REAL professional poker player and father. The journey is not always pretty but is always well told. Gl DGAF.
-
DanCaznerGenuine SpewThis podcast will inspire the LAG inside of you. DGAF’s sessions is raw in its entirety. Never will there be a moment when you question the sincerity of the narrator. The story may be repetitive at times (as is life) but as a listener for about a year now I feel connected with DGAF’s journey. The dude is just relatable. His approach and philosophy towards the game of live poker is what this game desperately needs.
-
SilentSoundGuyAn every day listen! There are dozens of poker podcasts available. I can’t bring myself to listen to any of them regularly. As a dad and recreational poker player myself, this is the poker podcast that has me coming back for every single episode. It’s raw, it’s real, it’s just plain entertaining. DGAF (the host) obviously pours his heart and soul into every episode. Give it a few episodes and you’ll be hooked like me.
-
JbennygoldMore than my favorite poker podcastAs just a poker podcast, Sessions should be in the top 3 of any best of list. It is the pure, unfiltered account of the life of professional poker player trying to work his way out of financial distress. In no other podcast will you meet as memorable a cast of characters from around the poker world and hardly any poker content I've come across truly captures the flavor of live poker like Sessions. But Sessions is more than hand histories and portraits of poker degens. It's also a real, serialized story of someone trying to become a better father, coach and person. DGAF is completely self-aware of his struggles and does the work to name them and examine them through out the Sessions journey. You can't help but become invested in his journey; in my case literally so as it's now the only podcast of the dozens I listen to that I gladly support as a Patreon. I give Sessions my highest recommendation.

JenShahadeThe sum is greater than its partsThis is a beautifully crafted podcast about parenting as much as poker. The sum is far greater than the parts- great job!
-
PoKerERsTyLeGreat ListenJust started listening a month ago. Will likely never have the time to catch up from the beginning but I’m enjoying the Pod. Love the honest thoughts throughout a session but I’m especially loving the coaching of the kiddos. Those are memories that no poker swing(good or bad) can take away. Keep it up.
-
Bahamut tronOk, yeahhh.Came for the poker, stayed for the caster. It’s rare to have someone, especially in the poker world, who is multitalented and HONEST. DGAF is someone most everyone can learn much from or aspire to be like in one way or another. The poker content is top notch, but the real reward is his perspective and advice outside of hand strategy, as well as his honest telling of “the story.” It’s hard not to root for someone who is really aspiring to be a “good person” and is open about the good and bad. Strongly recommend a subscribe to anyone reading this review.
-
the white JZCome for poker insight, stay for life lessonsThis incredibly honest sharing of an incredibly interesting life is the most addictive podcast I have ever listened to. At first, I was drawn in by the most unique version of a hand history podcast I'd ever heard. DGAF does not discuss poker strategy at all, he shows it ... and it's super insightful. But his poker insights pale in comparison to his life insights. The story in this pod can only be created by a man with an inspirational level of self reflection and acceptance of his own imperfections. It is the real time story of transforming from a genuine degen to a genuine stand up member of society. In his compelling narrations, he provides movie worthy glimpses into crazy party stories from the past and sensitive dad moments in the present. What really makes it great is that it's all so real and from the heart. he tells the stories so well, you feel like you are there with him, trying to complete the impossible come back. We are rooting for you, DGAF.
-
WWPokedBest poker podcastAfter listening to DGAF, it becomes really hard to get excited about any other podcast or vlog. Easily 10x the number of hand histories, with a far deeper description of the thought process behind each one. Plus awesome stories ranging from degenning to the fuegos. Do yourself a favor and start listening

Old Man RaiseBest Out ThereGood stuff man, keep up the good work! Best poker podcast out there, hands down!

Gutito21EngrossingWhere does one start when reviewing this podcast. DGAF takes us on the journey of his life as he attempts to once again become financially solvent through poker, a web based clothing store and this very podcast itself. His story telling is riveting. His honesty is brutal. The poker strategy is top rate. I can’t recommend this podcast enough. I highly recommend you join us in listening to his journey.
-
GuyindetTakes me away from the mundane part of lifeIt’s really cool when you can battle someone, and be very friendly the whole time.—DGAF I’ve played some poker. I’ve had an old car that I loved, but I was constantly worried about. I’ve had ups and downs with the people I love. DGAF tells us all these stories in a relatable and *entertaining manner. He even tells the parts that make him look bad! Brutal honesty from a charismatic protagonist is what this pod is all about, and I hope it never ends.
-
Chilidog Sr.CaptivatingDGAF’s story is like the book you can’t put down. His truthiness shines brightly as he embraces the highs and lows of both the poker and personal sides of his life. After all, don’t we all seek authentic / relatable human experience? As DGAF often says, “The story gets better once you become a part of it.” #trudat #lfg

TORO 01War StoriesThis pod is amazing and very insightful!!!! Love the gritty and down right DGAF attitude ! But I also can see or hear lol the growth that you are growing through in life ! Keep it up and don’t stop grinding ! See you this summer in Vegas !

SoulCrusher21Family-poker & lifeThis is a story about one man’s journey through his life, family and poker career that is sometimes chaotic but always interesting. Being a dad about the same age i know what it’s like to try and balance family life with a crazy career. I can’t help but cheer him on at every vulnerable step of the way. Hands down the best podcast out there period. This is NOT just a poker podcast , this is a straight up LifeCast!
-
jbiz001By far the bestThe best poker podcast out there and really my favorite of all podcasts. The dragon man has you rooting along with him to succeed and to become flush once again.
-
miamicheats5 StarsEngaging and brutally honest. I check every day for new episodes. Keep them coming.
-
CMD4KegsReal life sessionsIf you like stories about other people's kids and bad beats, then this podcast is for you. ;-) Actually that's a recurring nightmare of mine, yet I can't stop listening. Maybe it's the train wreck aspect of the story that keeps me from turning away. DGAF is a great poker player (although somewhat entitled), but an even better father. There are a lot of guys in his situation that would not be there for their kids as much as he is. That's a good dude. I skipped some episodes because the story is very repetitive and the needle really hasn't moved. But hey that's real life... repetitive and boring with occasional spikes of excitement. His master plan to get out of debt is very debatable, but his honesty is not. And I like that, so... yaah. Best of luck to you! Take care. I'm gonna go look for a pokerrag t-shirt.
-
dkksnfksndksbdjRespectI have been listening to you for the past 4 months, and I can genuinely say I'm rooting for you, and looking forward to how awesome you, lmf, and little fuego's futures are. Keep it going brother, I'll be supporting along with many others.
-
Joe PielSessions got a hold on meSessions is my favorite podcast and it isn't close. DGAF is a strong writer and story teller who manages to not only maintain my interest, but actually gets me fully invested in subjects as obscure as recreational girl's youth basketball (go Lakers!). While there is very little "traditional" poker strategy discussion, if you listen closely you can pick up some veteran wisdom which can be applied to your game. Mental health, parenting, relationships, gambling, failures and triumphs... Sessions is a mixed bag of realness that will make any commute more tolerable.
-
numbers88This is a podcast about a father finding out who he isIt is not a poker podcast. It is a look into the thoughts and feelings of someone trying to better the world- starting with himself, his kids, and his self made community. I highly recommend this pod for anyone who wishes to improve themselves on an emotional level.
-
P TremendousCan’t stop listeningI listen to a lot of poker pods and vlogs. This is like no other. In some ways it’s like one long bad beat story, but it’s so much more. Nuggets of poker and life advice, often mixed in with honest description of events that go sideways and do not follow advice given. In some ways I suspect this might be a scripted reality show. If so it’s the best one ever. But I suspect real life is stranger than fiction. Get it DGAF.
-
catspearosLegitThis pod is legit. I’m not a podcast or audio book kind of guy. Typically I would rather read content than listen to it. That way, I can add my own thoughts to create “the story”. Sessions fixed that. The way dgaf tells his own, often spewy” but always authentic story beats anything I can create in my head. From the little fuegos to getting hustled in darts, this guy is all heart. I find myself doing subtle fist pumps in my truck every time he goes for it and wins. Do yourself a favor and listen to one episode. That’s all it will take!
-
Campin CrackerGreat Pod!!Great poker content and most importantly great content about life and kids!!
