New part of my daily routine
I’ve studied modern standard Arabic for over 10 years and always wanted to work on dialect as well but never felt like I really had a good way to do it. I found this podcast and now I just spent 20 minutes with it every morning. Having the podcast and transcripts together is so helpful. The first time I listen I only understand a word here or there, but I keep re-listening and referring to the transcript for parts. I don’t understand. in a week or so I can understand the entire conversation and I’ve learned so much about how to shift from modern standard Arabic to dialect. This podcast is helping me realize the dream I’ve had for a long time of working seriously on my proficiency in spoken Arabic. Thank you so much and I hope you start making new episodes again!

    Transcripts for Compliments Lessons 2-5
Very impressive. This show is so well executed and so helpful. The Levantine language is beautiful and these linguists have done an excellent job of communicating the nuances to intermediate and advanced speakers of the dialect. Kudos and appreciation for all of the hard work and passion that I’m sure went/goes into its production. The transcripts are immensely helpful too. Would they by chance be available for the Compliments Lessons 2-5. The links for these episodes don’t seem to contain them.

    This is pretty great
I am a long time Arabic learning and have a good proficiency with the language, especially the Jordanian dialect. I am always looking for new dialect resources. I just started listening to the Advanced lessons and I really like them. There is a lot of new vocabulary, the topics are engaging, and the presentation is really great. You can tell Dalal and Amani put the time into this. The accompanying worksheets really take this resource to the next level and reinforce the learning . Given how recent they started there is still a good amount of content and I am excited to see experience the next lessons. Highly recommend for those learning Jordanian dialect or Levantine in general. Great stuff :)

    Love it
It’s very rare to find Jordanian dialect resources to learn from. I especially appreciate how with this podcast they offer a worksheet which actually helps you learn while you listen. I just wish they had more podcasts
