Great information but hard to listen to
I’ve been listening to this podcast for awhile and I really appreciate the information and the approach to gut health and SIBO. I think both of the hosts are super knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the constant interrupting by Dr. Nicole is so frustrating as a listener. I appreciate her insight, but I think Amy has so much knowledge to share too and I wish she would be given more time to talk and finish her thoughts.

Only time i've left a review on a podcast
Informed, grounded and easy to listen to. Definitely recommend if you suffer from chronic GI disorders related to C-PTSD.

    Excellent Podcast!
What truly sets this show apart is the hosts' compassionate approach to coping mechanisms. They offer practical, well-researched advice on managing symptoms and improving quality of life. Their empathy shines through, as they emphasize that everyone’s experience with stomach issues is unique and valid. They also share personal anecdotes and tips from their own experiences or from experts, which adds a relatable touch to the discussion. Overall, this podcast is an invaluable resource for anyone struggling with stomach issues. The hosts’ ability to explain and offer support is commendable, making it a must-listen for those seeking both knowledge and comfort.

    The BEST practitioners addressing IBS
Hands down this is the best information I’ve found addressing IBS. I’ve been following the SIBO/IBS circuit (or maybe I should write circus) for 8-9 years. For the first time, I’ve found Nicole and Amy to present the most practical, relevant, and research-based information. There knowledge has proven tremendously helpful to me and probably the most productive, yet balanced, actionable approach to resolving digestive problems.

    Interesting, but can get tiring
I am starting to listen to this podcast from the beginning, do don’t know if improvements have been made. First off, I have a medical background but find some of the conversation would be above the heads of many listeners w/o a medical background. It almost sounds like bragging. Either that or just having a conversation with a colleague rather than focus on the listener. Second, the interruptions by the Dr of Chiropractic when the dietician are speaking I find to be inconsiderate & annoying. Third, I would appreciate more straightforward info & less bashing of other professionals. I don’t think the bashing is needed. Thanks for making information available.

    THANK YOU
I have been working to demystify my gut/ IBS/SIBO issues for almost 20 years now. I really appreciate all of this information, it’s been a godsend, thanks for what you do!

    THE BEST
Finally experts who know what they are talking about!!!! These two have helped me more than the last 10 of my doctors have…so greatful to them beyond words!! Everyone with IBS, SIBO, CANDITA, or any digestive issues needs this show in their lives!

Great pod but poor audio quality
Information is great and very useful. Audio quality isn’t the best. Also.. the amount of times that dr Nicole interrupts Amy is out of control. The tangents that she takes and the flow of the podcast is really disruptive. Please stop interrupting Amy!! And If you have an aversion to speech impediments, one of the hosts speaks very nasaly.. it sounds like she doesn’t breathe out of her nose and only breaths out of her mouth… listening to that for an entire podcast is really annoying

So glad I found you two!
IBS, autoimmune, food sensitivities and working my way through a food elimination diet with my dietitian but wanted a little something more. So glad I found this podcast. It has been extremely helpful and a joy to listen to.

    Valuable Resource
Dr. Dinezza and Amy HollenKamp are extremely knowledgeable and provide valuable insights on treating a variety of gastrointestinal issues. Their advice is unmatched and unique in the gastrointestinal space. This podcast is light hearted and fun to listen to. You will always come away leading something new, practical and helpful.

    Good content, poor language quality
The ladies on IBS Freedom podcast seem to have good content concerning IBS and digestive issues. In listening to a few podcasts, I have learned something in each one. However, their choice of foul language is why I choose to discontinue listening. The English language is a huge melting pot of various other languages and points can be made without the use of the curse words. I do wish the ladies well. Signed, KMG

    Rambling on forever…
I was really looking for some good advice to help me with my digestive problems and am disappointed with your podcast. You tend to ridicule the patient’s self-diagnosis when they are grabbing at straws trying to find an explanation for what they are suffering from. Show some compassion! Not everyone has insurance that will cover all the testing required to get a concise diagnosis. It would be so helpful if you could stick to the topic, use terms that laypeople can understand and not “squirrel-slide” into scrunchy shirts, etc. Also, trying to limit “like” and “you know” would be appreciated. It’s hard to listen to a constant repetition of these words.

    Learned so much
I got diagnosed with IBS a few years ago but it really started acting up and making my days miserable a few months ago. Having anxiety and stress makes it worse. I love listening to these ladies, they really know what they’re talking about and they do it in a honest and fun way. I really feel like I’m sitting on the couch with them and just having a friendly talk. Not the stiff medical one that makes you cringe. I look forward to each episode because I know I will learn something new that may help me. Thanks ladies for your awesome podcast and I look forward to many more.

    Informative
This podcast is super informative, relatable, and validating. But the audio is absolutely terrible and all over the place. It doesn’t seem edited or reviewed at all.
  • Staciecro
    Not great
Good topics! But the doctor loves to brag on herself and bash on the specialists in her field. If someone really is great then they don’t need to bash on others. Also, the doctor has a limited vocabulary as evidenced by her frequent cussing. Cussing in a professional setting and bashing on your peers suggests a very low self esteem and is extremely unprofessional.
  • Laf1110
You’re still all about the money.
So you will scoff at Dr. Hyman for ordering $5,000 worth of tests but when I went to check on your website the doctor charges $7000 for a 6 month program!!! Where do you get off?! “Oh but I only order $500 worth of tests tops” she says on her show. You’re no better than the rest. I love what you say and I believe you are speaking truth but you should be ashamed of taking advantage of desperate people. I’d give you zero stars if I could.

A Practical Approach to Functional Medicine for GI Issues
It’s so refreshing to hear practitioners talking about the pros and cons of the current functional medicine and conventional approaches to IBS treatment. Thank you for offering us a balanced view of what actually works for your patients! Yes to feeding our good gut bugs instead of starving them for years. Keep up the great content!!

Deep dive into normal people truth
If you or someone you love has or had been diagnosed with IBS, gastritis, SIBO, GERD, etc, these ladies will give you a lot of good information from the perspective of someone who’s been in the weeds. Like many doctors or nutritionists who specialize in this, they have each had their own experiences. They bring you meaningful truthful information beyond any GI doc, functional medicine, or run of the mill dietician. Real life examples from their own experiences and from past patients, interpretations of all those things your reading online. These are the best friends you’ve been looking for to explore healing and overall good practices for great gut health!

    Informational and Validating!
This podcast is a must hear for anyone diagnosed with IBS, who wants to know more about the gut brain connection (it absolutely exists!), has been diagnosed with SIBO, or is maybe just interested in having a better understanding about the gut and the incredible impact it has on our daily life.
