tm1201Keeping Trying! There are some gems!Since narrators are volunteers, there are some with poor skills and equipment. However, there is such a large library that you will find hundreds of hours of listening. Try various books and don’t judge based on one narrator. There is also a website with a forum which allows you to find information on specific narrators (including accents). This will probably not be the podcast for someone who wants a specific book (though you may get lucky!) but with an open mind and some trial and error you will find some gems!

The Shadow NoseFree. Variable readers. Intrusive ads.Librivox recordings are made by volunteers who are sometimes terrible but usually better than tolerable. There’s 60 seconds of ad to skip at start and more are periodically inserted. Podcast apps with FF skipping and with multiple speed settings will mitigate these irritations some.

K VomerSo many titles!Tons of books and stories to choose from. Many classics, plus several titles I hadn’t heard of by well-known authors. Many genres: from children's literature to religious treatises to fantasy to adventure. You’re sure to find something to keep you awake or lull you to sleep!

PommeflowerExcellent reading of David CopperfieldI have just started Part II of this and I am thus far highly impressed with the reader/voice actor — clear, well-paced, dramatic, accents. What a wonderful gift to the public — thank you!

C. LightThank you so much for wonderful classic literature.🙏🏻💖🍀I love classic literature and it is hard to find in OUR LIBRARIES and scarce in the one or two bookstores close to us! Thank you for reading to us the joy of words written in the most appropriate manner. I am very grateful! 🙏🏻💖🍀
